BAND

This five piece play tribute to the very best music of Deep Purple and Rainbow. Featuring established and talented musicians from across London and the Home Counties they play all-time classics as well as a few surprises to really get the audience going. Having honed their craft over many years in some of the hardest working bands in the country these guys have finally come together to bring you Rainbow in Rock.

The band also have an alter-ego, a classic rock covers band which goes by the name of Memento, same musicians, great tunes, awesome set-list (please see 'More' on the menu bar at top of page).

TAMAS

Tamas Csemez is originally from Budapest and has been providing the vocals for various covers/tribute bands on the London music scene for the last few years, including Logicaltramp, The Progfathers and Rocktopus. He’s also taken part in some exciting recording projects such as the metal opera Richard Campbell's Frankenstein. Definitely versatile, he has a talent for capturing the essence of a range of rock vocalists whilst maintaining his own unique presence. As one fan said so well ‘it’s almost like you have to suspend belief, his voice takes you a different place, a past time, somewhere you’re not sure you ever want to come back from’. Praise indeed for a genuinely talented singer.

GUS

Gus Mark has spent most of his childhood and his entire adult life (by his own admission many, many years) playing, performing and recording. He and his guitars are inseparable. He lives, eats and breathes music and over the years has worked on a huge variety of projects. As well as playing lead guitar in Rainbow in Rock and Memento he currently joins Tamas in Rocktopus and also tours in an originals band called Auburn, who for the last 3 years have supported Jefferson Starship in the UK. Gus Mark's musicianship is undisputed and his guitar skills a joy to see and hear. A consummate professional he has won praise from audiences, promoters and fellow musicians alike.

PABLO

Pablo Videla took up the drums in the early eighties after seeing Peter Criss playing with Kiss. He is renowned for tackling (and successfully pulling off) some pretty challenging rock and metal drums and always with a smile on his face. Pablo’s reputation precedes him and his career highlights include supporting death metal giants Deicide at the London Astoria, appearing on Channel 4’s Born Sloppy and touring the UK supporting black metal luminaries Venom. Rarely seen without his lucky red and black socks the armoury section of Rainbow In Rock is in safe hands (and feet).

ANDREW

Andrew lays down the bass guitar. He has now chalked up a decade of experience across 4 rock covers bands. A lover of rock and metal in all its forms (listening to and talking about!), he is having a blast playing the amazing songs of Rainbow and Deep Purple with RiR.

Gab.JPG

GAB

Gab Soulavy is originally from Budapest, Hungary, where he spent a decade as a musician in a well-known Deep Purple cover band and one of Tamas Szekeres' formation, where playing both Tamas' original compositions and covers. In the UK, Gab has performed with various original and cover bands, including Metalworks, A.Band.On, Inglorious, and Stonehenge.
From a very early age, he fell in love with the sound of the Hammond organ. This instrument has profoundly influenced his career from the beginning to the present day. Gab is heavily inspired by Jon Lord, one of his most significant idols, and invests deeply in his playing to maximize the expressive capabilities of the Hammond organ.'
